Finding a senior executive's name is not the same as identifying the right participant in an industrial purchasing decision. The better question is who shapes the requirements and who actually buys the relevant equipment or service.
Start with the technical package
A single factory investment can contain a production line, end-of-line automation, mechanical handling, intralogistics, utilities and construction packages. Each may have a different specification process and a different contracting party.
Before looking for names, define what a supplier could realistically deliver and in which phase it would be procured. A packaging integrator may need to engage project engineering, an OEM or a central procurement team. A warehouse automation provider may instead find the relevant specification owned by logistics engineering or a systems integrator.
P1: verified responsibility for the specific package or purchase. P2: confirmed involvement in the investment, package responsibility unknown. P3: relevant professional role, project involvement unconfirmed. P4: only a formal, ceremonial or high-level association. Lower-confidence contacts are research hypotheses, not confirmed decision-makers.
A researchable decision chain
- End user: who operates the eventual system?
- Specifier: who writes or influences technical requirements?
- Technical evaluator: who validates integration, capacity and performance?
- Purchaser: who manages the request for proposals and signs the agreement?
- Integrator or OEM: has the relevant scope been included in a larger contract?
Responsible intelligence
Public professional sources can support research into responsibilities and decision pathways. But a person's title, public appearance at a project launch or guessed corporate email address does not prove procurement authority. Research outputs should keep these distinctions visible and avoid presenting assumptions as verified contacts.
Industrial Perspective's approach is to identify the shortest well-evidenced path to understanding the purchasing process, while acknowledging when the responsible person or available contract remains unknown.
